Are you looking for a position within a dynamic international organisation in which you are responsible for monitoring the range of articles including handling the corresponding purchase orders? This position offers many career opportunities within the product management and purchasing department in which the work can be expanded in the future.

What do you do as an operational buyer?
You work in the product management & purchasing department. In consultation with the product manager, you develop the product range and convert this into a sales-ready concept. You also place, coordinate and handle the relevant purchase orders. You also ensure that the total product range complies with the applicable product legislation. Besides the efforts at product level, a second part of this job is the sustainability aspect. This mainly involves assessing, monitoring and improving the performance of Asian suppliers' factories on the basis of audits.

Function:
You will be part of a dynamic team and in this role you will be responsible for:
 

  • Selecting and evaluating suppliers, 
  • Handling special price requests outside the existing range,
  • Processing and monitoring purchase orders (together with assistant buyers), 
  • Reviewing the product range in consultation with the product manager,
  • Optimising the ordering process and incoming goods flow.
  • You communicate with reputable test institutes in Asia and Europe,
  • Communication with suppliers on applicable compliance requirements at product and social level,
  • Taking care of applicable (re)audits such as Ecovadis.

Funtion requirements:

  • Completed MBO or HBO education, for example in the field of commercial economics, or demonstrable MBO level through work experience in a commercial environment;
  • 0-5 years working experience within a B2B environment, internal training possible and many opportunities for growth;
  • Affinity with Toppoint products and the promotional sector;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch, English and preferably German language in word and writing.

Function:
You are part of a dynamic team and in this position you are responsible for:
 

  • Advising product management & purchasing on relevant product certification, labeling of products and manual development, including ensuring its implementation,
  • You communicate with renowned testing institutes in Asia and Europe,
  • Communication with suppliers about the applicable compliance requirements at product and social level,
  • Ensure the applicable (re)audits such as Ecovadis,
  • Advising the organization in the field of sustainability including plan development and implementation,
  • Optimization of the logistics processes within the organization that contribute to sustainability,
  • Collaboration with product management and advice on sustainable material choices, packaging and transport solutions.
  • Collaboration with the CSR manager at corporate level.

Job requirements:

  • Completed HBO education, for example in business administration or demonstrable HBO level through work experience gained, (additional) training in sustainability is an advantage;
  • At least 2-5 years of work experience in a relevant position within a B2B environment;
  • Affinity with Toppoint products and the promotional sector;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch, English and preferably German language, spoken and written.
